Abstract:

The soil samples were taken in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) at different depth and under different vegetation cover around termite mounds at the observatory catchment Varnam, Payodu, Ghat and Mule Hole in India in 2014. This dataset holds general chemical and physical parameters of soil samples: grain size distribution, natural isotopes Carbon-13 (13C) and Nitrogen (15N), soil pH, exchangeable complex, specific extractions, macro-, micro-, rare earth and trace elements, For some samples the infrared spectrum has been measured. The collection of the data was supported by the French National Program "Réseau de Bassin Versant” (RBV).
