Description
This dataset comprises textual data collected during field missions conducted between June 2023 and August 2024 in Guinea-Bissau (Cacheu, Oio, and Tombali), involving small-scale mangrove swamp rice farmers.

Ethical approval was obtained in accordance with the Nagoya Protocol and granted by the Ministry of the Environment and Biodiversity of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

To preserve participants’ anonymity, all personal names were removed and replaced with “XXX”. It is impossible to identify any individuals

The data were originally collected in Guinea-Bissau Creole and subsequently transcribed into Portuguese by a translator from Guinea-Bissau, using the Express Scribe software. (2026-02-03)
