This collection gathers the data associated with the publications of the ANR ARCHAIST research project: “Impact of environmental and societal changes on the hunter-gatherer societies of southern Thailand.” This project aims to study the behaviors of ancient hunter-gatherer populations in the rich archaeological area of the Isthmus of Kra, in southern Thailand. Through a multidisciplinary approach, a set of archaeological deposits dated to the Holocene and the Late Pleistocene is analyzed in order to capture in detail the chrono-geographical variability of local hunter-gatherer behaviors. These studies will shed light on their adaptations to a changing environment as well as their interactions with sedentary populations, from the end of the Pleistocene to the present day.

Cette collection rassemble les données associées aux publications du projet de recherche ANR ARCHAIST : « Impact des changements environnementaux et sociétaux sur les sociétés de chasseurs-cueilleurs du sud de la Thaïlande ». Ce projet vise à étudier les comportements des populations anciennes de chasseurs-cueilleurs dans la riche zone archéologique de l'isthme de Kra, au sud de la Thaïlande. Grâce à une approche multidisciplinaire, un ensemble de dépôts archéologiques datés de l’Holocène et de la fin du Pléistocène est analysé afin de saisir en détail la variabilité chrono-géographique des comportements des groupes de chasseurs-cueilleurs locaux. Ces études permettront de mettre en lumière leurs adaptations à un environnement changeant ainsi que leurs interactions avec les populations sédentaires, de la fin du Pléistocène jusqu’à nos jours.
