Unité Mixte de Recherche "Savoirs, ENvironnement, Sociétés"

L’UMR SENS positionne ses recherches sur la dimension sociétale (incluant les enjeux sociaux, économiques, politiques, culturels) des dynamiques environnementales actuelles. Créée en 2021, elle rassemble des chercheurs, enseignants-chercheurs, ingénieurs, techniciens et doctorants de trois institutions : le CIRAD, l’IRD et l’Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3. La particularité de cette équipe est sa pluridisciplinarité, à la fois à l’intérieur des sciences sociales (anthropologie, économie, géographie, sociologie, droit, science politique) et entre les sciences sociales, les sciences de la vie et de l’environnement (agronomie et écologie) et les sciences et technologies (modélisation et informatique).
