Description
| The GUYADIV dataset includes inventory data for over 100 hectares of terra firme tropical forest plots distributed across French Guiana. It contains information on more than 90,000 censused trees, which have been mapped, measured for trunk diameter, and 98% identified to the species level. These trees belong to 1,393 species, 370 genera and 84 families. It covers various aspects of tree community diversity and constitutes a valuable resource for further analysis. The GUYADIV network was established by a core team of three IRD botanists experts in tree identification: Daniel Sabatier, Marie-Françoise "Fanchon" Prévost (1946-2013), and Jean-François Molino. Over 80 GUYADIV plots contribute to the Amazon Tree Diversity Network (ATDN), and the complete dataset has recently been integrated into Forestplots.net.
Further information about the GUYADIV network is available in the following article published in Annals of Forest Science : [URL article]. Georeferenced shapefiles of GUYADIV plots are available in the DataSuds-Geo repository (IRD, France) : https://doi.org/10.23708/8a669c5c-1925-4103-91fb-e4e94776d9d7. (2025-06-25) |
