Description

The GUYADIV geo-dataset provides the geographical location and spatial extent of all plots in the GUYADIV forest plot network, covering approximately 100 hectares of forest inventories distributed across French Guiana. The dataset is provided in GeoPackage (.gpkg) format using the WGS 84 geographic coordinate system (EPSG:4326), and is compatible with standard geographic information system (GIS) software.

The geo-dataset consists of two files:

GUYADIV_Plots.gpkg: spatial representation of all GUYADIV plots, showing their actual shape and size at ground level, without correction for slope.
GUYADIV_Plots_X0Y0.gpkg: geographical location of the starting point of PCQ plots and of the origin point (x₀, y₀) of exhaustive plots.

The positional uncertainties associated with the geographical coordinates provided in the attribute tables were estimated based on the geolocation methods used. These uncertainties range from 1 to 100 metres: 1 metre for plots surveyed by a surveyor, 10 metres for those georeferenced using GPS, and up to 100 metres for those located using maps.
