UMR MERIT

L’unité de recherche MERIT « Santé Internationale de la Mère et de l'Enfant » est une unité mixte de recherche entre l’Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), l’Université Paris Cité (UPCité) et l'Inserm.

L'unité mène des programmes de recherche visant à analyser les facteurs responsables de la morbidité et de la mortalité durant la grossesse, dans la période post-partum et au cours des premières années de vie.

L’UMR MERIT se distingue par sa forte multidisciplinarité, lui permettant d'explorer ses problématiques de recherche par des approches complémentaires (épidémiologie, démographie, biologie et biostatistiques), avec des implantations à Paris et à Cotonou ainsi que des chantiers en RDC, au Ghana et au Togo.
