Mère et enfant en milieu tropical : pathogènes, système de santé et transition épidémiologique

L’unité de recherche MERIT est une unité mixte de recherche entre l’Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) et l’Université Paris Cité. Elle conduit des programmes de recherche destinés à comprendre les phénomènes à l’origine de la morbidité et de la mortalité pendant la grossesse, au cours du post-partum et lors des premières années de vie.
L’UMR MERIT est caractérisée par une grande multidisciplinarité lui permettant d’aborder ses questions de recherche par des voies complémentaires (épidémiologie, biologie, biostatistiques, anthropologie et démographie) et possède des implantations à Paris, Accra et Cotonou.
