Description	The MiPPAD birth cohort of Benin has for overall objective to study the early determinants of children's health and development. The TOVI project followed offspring born to pregnant women included in the MiPPAD trial. This one year follow-up included data collection on offspring psychomotor function and health, including malaria, anemia, iron deficiency, blood lead level and anthropometric measures. It also included socioeconomic environment and maternal mental health. The cohort takes place in a semi rural area in the district of Allada, including Allada, Sekou and Attogon, in Benin, sub-Saharan Africa.
