The main focus of DYNADIV Team is
tounderstand how biodiversity of tropical plants is shaped through evolutionary forces resulting from human and environmental impacts.

Its activity is essentially based on population genetics but also integrates a multidisciplinary approach including ecology, botany, molecular phylogenetics and anthropology. It is structured around three axes:
  • Evolutionary history & domestication;
  • Diversity & conservation;
  • Global changes, diversity & adaptation.

Adji, Beda-Innocent; Chakocha Ngandjui, Armel Franklin; Guibien Cléophas Zerbo; Marie Louise Avana Tientcheu; Hardy, Olivier; Mariac, Cédric; Duminil, Jérôme, 2024, "Data on the Genetic Diversity Study of the African Olive (Canarium schweinfurthii, Burseraceae) in Africa for Climate Change Adaptation", https://doi.org/10.23708/GWRGBC, DataSuds, V1, UNF:6:j8ybPdLmWqOvh7eHYFEd2A== [fileUNF]
In Africa, the decline of numerous tree species due to rapid population growth, deforestation, and climate change is a major concern. Several native multi-purpose agroforestry species are at risk of losing genetic diversity, which may lead to their extinction. This is the case fo...

The West Indies, particularly former French colonies like Haiti and Guadeloupe, were central to the spread of coffee in the Americas. The histories of these Islands are shared until the XIXth century, where they diverged significantly. Still, both Islands experienced a strong dec...

High species richness is observed in certain shrublands on infertile substrates. Mineral nutrients are likely to be the primary limiting resources in these ecosystems, and below-ground plant interactions may be crucial to understanding their diversity. Using ionomics, we investig...

Barnaud, Adeline; Veltman, Margaretha; Kaczmarek, Thomas; Argout, Xavier; Vigouroux, Yves; Berthouly-Salazar, Cecile; Billot, Claire, 2024, "High throughput genetic diversity analyses of neglected crops: training data, codes and materials (Africa)", https://doi.org/10.23708/ETC16I, DataSuds, V1, UNF:6:ON0wb/ZYjxl4qqjnr8NEPA== [fileUNF]
Marginal land is land that is of little agricultural value because crops produced there would be worth less than any rent paid for access to the area. Helping to develop such zones in Africa is a key goal for the EU-funded EWA-BELT project. The aim is to promote the sustainable i...

Lorieux, Mathias; Triay, Cécile, 2024, "Called genotypes (chromosome 1) from Illumina whole-genome sequencing of an Indica x Japonica rice F2 population", https://doi.org/10.23708/8FXUNC, DataSuds, V1
Motivation: Genotyping of bi-parental populations can be performed with low-coverage next-generation sequencing (LC-NGS). This allows the creation of highly saturated genetic maps at reasonable cost, precisely localized recombination breakpoints (i.e., the crossovers), and minimi...

Diop, Baye Magatte; Barnaud, Adeline; Billot, Claire; Guèye, Mame Codou, 2023, "Supplementary data for: Ethnolinguistic and genetic diversity of fonio (Digitaria exilis - Kippist - Stapf) in Senegal", https://doi.org/10.23708/5WDKS1, DataSuds, V1, UNF:6:NeauNrptcRyq6NeGtIhJqg== [fileUNF]
This data on fonio highlighted that social factors are pivotal in structuring diversity and should be taken into greater consideration in research and conservation projects to dovetail local and regional scales. It also showed that neglected species such as fonio - which are seld...
